ST BANK is a project aimed at offering relevant high skills and competences about entrepreneurial education to secondary school teachers to foster their professional development to manage diversity, early school leaving and increase school engagement especially in those areas which show a high percentage of ethnic minorities and foreign-born. The project is focused on 2 concepts:
Research shows that entrepreneurship education has an impact on motivation of the students for their own learning process, for creative learning process and for their participation. It also seems to reduce student drop-out rates. The challenge is to move from entrepreneurship with a focus on business and new venues creation to a newer trend of entrepreneurship which focuses on enterprising mindset and behavior. Entrepreneurial education is an empowering method that enables students to take the future in their hands, by promoting learning by doing, self-efficacy, resilience and motivation.
